In September 2022 my sister Trish and her husband Steve opened StonehaĂĽs Meadery in Stroudsburg PA., and I became their exclusive in house artist.
StonehaĂĽs is now my home base where I host all of my paint and sip parties.
As much as I love instructing, my number one passion has always been creating my collection of paintings in my home, which I use as my private art studio. Vibrant colors with broad strokes and the use of black lines are notable features in my artwork.
My style has been described as whimsical and vivid, sometimes taking on the look of stained glass and often features beautiful women and colorful flowers. I don’t sell my originals as they are part of my growing collection, however, I do offer hand embellished, signed prints for clients and collectors. Some of the most fun and rewarding embellishments that I love to do feature fluorescent paints and a specialty glitter that add excitement! One single design can take on a completely different look just by my adding small variations.
My pieces have been part of countless gallery art shows throughout the area. In Pennsylvania they have been displayed in Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, Delaware Water Gap, Shawnee on the Delaware, and Philadelphia. I also have displayed in Oxford NJ.
To date I have three murals in the Poconos. One is on Main Street in Stroudsburg and was done as part of “Project Street Art Part 1”. This mural was my take on one of our local coffee shops, Café Duet. My second mural was done on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg as part of “Project Street Art Part 2” and is a replica of my original painting entitled “Magical Flowers”. The third mural is at Downriver Brewing company and features a hop as the subject and was created using my stained glass style.
I received awards for my work on the first 2 murals and in 2017 I was chosen by the Pocono Arts Council as the “Emerging Artist of the Year”. Along with that honor, I also received a first place award for my painting “Stained Glass Blues” which was sold at auction. Two of my other paintings- “All that Jazz” (2017) and “Jazzy Blues” (2018) received 3rd and 2nd place awards (respectively) at the Castle Inn in Delaware Water Gap.
In 2019 and 2021 I participated in the “Snowmen of Stroudsburg” project which is led by Go Collaborative. Valentina (2019) and Daisy (2021) are displayed around town every year from November through February with about 40 other snowmen- all hand painted by our very talented local artists.
In 2022 I designed the label for ShawneeCraft Brewery’s “Mosier’s Mosaic” beer can. A particularly fun project for a particularly tasty beer! I also currently have a collection of my hand embellished fluorescent paintings on display in their tasting room.
It’s exciting to continue creating new art and I hope that my work makes you feel happy!
I’m also very fortunate to live where I do, as the Pocono community has a culture that is extremely rich with creative talent!
Stop by for a visit sometime and be sure to look me up!
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
